CHUCK WILT is a Certified GYROTONIC® Teacher who has been training in the GYROTONIC® method since 2010 and teaching since 2014. Chuck is also a choreographer, and the Artistic Director of SF based dance company, UNA. Chuck received their BFA in Dance From NYU's Tisch School of the Arts and has also received a Level 1 Reiki Certification.
TRAINING WITH CHUCK means that you are invested in your body becoming healthier and more resilient to stress, injury and stagnation-based pain through this expressive, freeing and fun exercise system. Coming from a dance background and perspective with GYROTONIC® excercise, Chuck's practice focuses on finding an awareness of imbalances in your body and using the movement and exercises to give yourself more ease, strength and flexibility to be able to carry into your own life. As thier own form of physical therapy, cross-training and meditation, Chuck also brings a well-rounded passion and optimism for the system to their practice and teaching. Chuck believes that everyone can bring more movement into their life, and that challenging yourself as well as bringing more ease into your body can both be a part of your GYROTONIC® practice if you so desire.
Chuck has also completed the GYROTONIC® Application for Dancer's course, which can be applied to sessions with dancers and non-dancers alike.

ABOUT: The GYROTONIC EXPANSION SYSTEM® is a movement based exercise that both strengthens and lengthens the body through circular movements. These movements have roots in dance, yoga, swimming and tai chi and they are utilized and developed along side the specialized GYROTONIC® equipment to help you expand your body.
The whole body is addressed and integrated through the movements in GYROTONIC® exercise. The movement is both aerobic as well as muscular, but with fluidity and minimal effort and with the focus of a supported and lengthened body. The use of synchronized and rhythmical breath accesses your cardiovascular system while your muscles and ligaments are strengthened through the GYROTONIC® motions.
There is a detailed focus on the spine stressing the idea that bringing back natural and compression free movement to the spine will align and reshape your body. Use of this system can result in a body that is less prone to injury and overall more supported and balanced.
The GYROTONIC EXPANSION SYSTEM® can provide athletic people and non-athletic people alike with a new awareness of their body, more range of motion, endurance and most importantly more joy and grace through their daily lives.
