DONATION DIRECTLY SUPPORTS:
UNA'S PATRONS ARE INTEGRAL TO OUR WORK.
Since 2013, the support and generosity of our amazing donors have helped to shape UNA’s vision and expand our capabilities as a company. IN THE LAST FIVE YEARS, UNA has created 31 Projects, performed 33 times, held 12 work-in-progress public showings, curated 4 performances involving other choreographers, performed 8 lecture-demonstrations for high schools and college programs and taught 45 classes and workshops for the public and schools/dance programs. The company has collaborated with many artists and people, who have greatly enriched our path! Beyond our home base in NYC, these opportunities have taken us to San Francisco, Seattle, Dallas, Carbondale (Colorado), Connecticut, Pennsylvania, Vermont, Montreal, Tel Aviv - and soon to be - Vancouver, San Diego and more!
Thanks to our generous donors, for the 2018 season, UNA was able to increase hourly wages for its dedicated dancers, hire two new company members, cover costs for our NYC rehearsals and support our creative residencies and showings in NYC, San Francisco, Tel Aviv, Vermont and Colorado. UNA continued our Wellness Program for company members, providing professional health support courtesy of our partnerships: Symbio PhysioTherapy, Bernal Homeopathy and Village GYROTONIC®!
In congruence with our development so far as a company, UNA’s coming year will be our biggest year to date!
Your support will allow us to raise company member pay to $18 an hour, add two additional dancers to our work COLORING, support our first intensive residency this August at Brooklyn College as a selected Artist in Residence through the CUNY Dance Initiative, AND support the NYC premieres of our exciting evening-length work COLORING, at the 92nd St. Y!
UNA’s continued work and involvement in the community is primarily made possible through the generosity and vision of our donors. As we expand, our funding sources have diversified to include earned income, grants from foundations including the Ford Foundation and the Rockefeller Brothers Fund, the Rainin Foundation, sponsorship and in-kind support from small businesses, corporate matching such as from Bank of America, as well as donations from our individual patrons. In order to achieve our goals for the rest of our Season, we invite you to join UNA’s community and help us grow our impact through your charitable support.
UNA has multiple tiers of giving, each with unique benefits and meaningful ways to engage with the company.
